Privacy Policy
Anergint (“Anergint,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides data analytics and predictive intelligence for energy, utility, and pipeline infrastructure. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. It applies to personal information collected through www.anergint.com and its subdomains, our forms, newsletters, careers pages, and our communications with you (the “Services”). It does not govern Customer Data we process for customers under a services agreement; that is handled under the applicable agreement (see Section 3). By using the Services you acknowledge this Policy. Please also read our Terms of Service and Cookie Policy.

We may receive business contact information from event organizers, partners, publicly available professional profiles, or business directories, and from service providers (such as applicant-tracking or scheduling tools) acting on our behalf.
2.4 Sensitive information
We do not intend to collect sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers, health data, or biometric data) through the Services. Please do not include it in forms or resumes unless we specifically request it for a lawful purpose.
3. Customer Data
When our customers use the Preventer™, Analyzer™, and Optimizer™ platforms, we process operational, sensor, SCADA, GIS, inspection, and other infrastructure data (“Customer Data”) on their behalf. In that role, we act as a service provider/processor: we process Customer Data only on the customer’s documented instructions and under the customer’s services agreement and any data processing agreement. Customer Data is generally not personal information, but where it contains any (for example, names of field personnel), we protect it accordingly. If you are an individual whose data was provided to us by a customer, please contact that customer directly about your rights. Please do not submit Customer Data through public website forms.

6. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies that are essential to operate and secure the site (for example, security tokens for form protection and session management for authorized users) and, where enabled and permitted, analytics or functional technologies. Details, including how to manage your preferences, are in our Cookie Policy. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal; where required by law, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid request to opt out of sale/sharing.
7. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:
- Service providers (processors): hosting and infrastructure, database and storage, email delivery, analytics, customer-relationship management, scheduling, applicant tracking, security, and customer support tools, bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations and permitted to use data only to serve us.
- Professional advisors: lawyers, auditors, accountants, and insurers.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality and continued protection of your information.

- With your direction or consent: for example, when you ask us to share information with a partner.
- Affiliates: companies under common control with Anergint, for the purposes in this Policy.
We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
8. International Data Transfers
Anergint and its providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries that may have different data-protection laws than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, adequacy decisions, or other lawful mechanisms. You may contact us for more information about these safeguards.
9. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, and to resolve disputes and enforce agreements. Typical periods are:
| Data | Typical retention |
|---|---|
| Demo and contact requests | Up to 3 years after last interaction |
| Newsletter subscriptions | Until you unsubscribe, then a minimal suppression record |
| Job applications | Up to 12 months after the role is filled (longer only with your consent) |
| Server and security logs | Up to 12 months |
| Contract and financial records | As required by law (generally 7 years) |
When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
10. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, consistent with the sensitivity of the energy and utility infrastructure information we handle. These include encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls and least-privilege permissions, authentication for staff systems, logging and monitoring, network firewalls, regular patching, and backups. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
11. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Delete your information, subject to legal exceptions;
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing;
- Data portability — receive your information in a structured, commonly used format;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Opt out of sale, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, or targeted advertising (we do not engage in these for money; see Section 12);
- Non-discrimination for exercising your rights; and
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise these rights, email info@anergint.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity before responding, and you may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 30–45 days). You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in our emails.
12. Region-Specific Disclosures
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
If the GDPR/UK GDPR applies, you have the rights listed in Section 11, and the legal bases are described in Section 5. You may complain to your supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
California and other U.S. states
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Utah, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal information, and to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. In the past 12 months, we have collected the categories of information described in Section 2 (identifiers, contact and professional information, internet/device activity, and, for applicants, employment-related information) for the business purposes in Section 4, and disclosed them to the categories of recipients in Section 7. We have not sold personal information for monetary value and do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit. California residents may also request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes (“Shine the Light”).
Canada and other jurisdictions
We handle personal information in accordance with applicable local law. You may contact us to access, correct, or ask questions about your information and our cross-border practices.
13. Job Applicants
If you apply for a position, we use your application to assess your skills and suitability, communicate with you, verify information, and, where permitted, consider you for future roles. Applications may be processed through applicant-tracking providers acting on our behalf. We may conduct background or reference checks only as permitted by law and, where required, with your consent. You may ask us to delete your application at any time by contacting info@anergint.com. Resume files are stored in restricted, access-controlled locations and are available only to authorized staff.
14. Marketing Communications
We send marketing emails only to people who have opted in or where the law otherwise allows. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to opt out. We will still send necessary service or administrative messages (for example, replies to your request).
15. Third-Party Links and Embedded Content
Our Website may link to third-party sites or load resources from third parties (such as web fonts or content delivery networks). When your browser loads such resources, your IP address and browser details may be received by those providers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties; please review their policies.
16. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are intended for business and professional use and are not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
17. Automated Decision-Making
We do not make decisions about individuals that produce legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing of website personal information. Our predictive analytics concern infrastructure assets and are used by our customers as decision-support tools; see our Terms of Service.
18. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We will post the updated version with a new “Last Updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where required by law.
