Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Anergint (“Anergint,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.anergint.com and its subdomains (the “Website”), why we use them, and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your browser or device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, keep them secure, remember your settings, and provide information to site owners. Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (stored until they expire or you delete them), and first-party (set by us) or third-party (set by another organization).
2. Similar Technologies
- Local and session storage: browser storage that holds small amounts of data, such as interface preferences.
- Pixels and tags: small images or scripts that record that a page or email was viewed or a link was clicked.
- Server logs: records of requests, including IP address and browser details, used for security and diagnostics.
In this Policy, “cookies” includes these technologies unless stated otherwise.
3. Why We Use Cookies
- to keep the Website secure and protect forms (demo request, newsletter, careers) from forgery and abuse;
- to keep authorized staff and customer users signed in to restricted areas;
- to remember your preferences and make return visits easier;
- to understand how visitors use the Website so we can improve content, solutions pages, and performance; and
- where permitted, to measure the effectiveness of our outreach and content.
4. Categories of Cookies
| Category | Purpose | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Core functionality such as security tokens, session management, load balancing, and form submission. The Website cannot function properly without them. | No — always active |
| Functional | Remember choices you make, such as selected solution tabs or display preferences. | Where required by law |
| Performance & analytics | Collect aggregated information about visits, pages viewed, and errors to help us improve the Website. | Yes, in regions that require it |
| Marketing | Help measure the reach of our content, whitepapers, and campaigns and show relevant information. We do not use them to sell personal information. | Yes |
Non-essential categories are used only if they are enabled on the Website and, where the law requires, only after you give consent.
5. Cookies We Set
The table lists the cookies set by the Website itself. The names of other cookies may change as our site evolves; we keep this list up to date.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
csrftoken | Strictly necessary, first-party | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery. | Up to 1 year |
sessionid | Strictly necessary, first-party | Keeps authorized staff/customer users signed in to restricted areas. Not set for ordinary visitors who do not sign in. | Session / up to 2 weeks |
| Preference cookies (if used) | Functional, first-party | Remember interface choices such as selected tabs. | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics cookies (if enabled) | Performance, first- or third-party | Aggregate usage statistics, such as pages viewed and referrers. | Up to 24 months |
Our session and security cookies are marked Secure and HttpOnly (where applicable) and use the SameSite attribute to reduce the risk of misuse.
6. Third-Party Technologies
Some content on the Website is loaded from third parties, and those providers may receive your IP address and browser information when your browser requests it, and may set their own cookies:
- Web fonts and content delivery: the Website loads fonts (for example, from Google Fonts) and other assets from external servers.
- Analytics providers (if enabled): to produce usage statistics.
- Embedded content or scheduling tools (if used): such as embedded videos, maps, or meeting schedulers.
These providers act under their own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to review. We do not control third-party cookies.
7. Managing Your Preferences
- Our cookie settings: where a consent banner or preference center is displayed on the Website, use it to accept, reject, or change non-essential cookies at any time.
- Browser settings: most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies. Instructions are available from your browser’s help pages (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and others).
- Analytics opt-outs: many analytics providers offer their own opt-out tools or browser add-ons.
- Email tracking: you can limit pixels in emails by blocking remote images in your mail client.
- Advertising choices: if you see interest-based ads elsewhere, you can use industry opt-out tools such as youradchoices.com or optout.aboutads.info.
If you delete cookies or change settings, you may need to set your preferences again on each browser and device.
8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal; there is no common standard for responding to it, so we do not currently alter our practices in response. Where required by applicable law, we honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control as a request to opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising.
9. Effect of Disabling Cookies
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent forms from submitting, break sign-in to restricted areas, or cause parts of the Website to display or function incorrectly. Blocking other categories will not affect core functionality, though some preferences may not be remembered.
10. Cookies and Personal Information
Where cookies collect information that identifies you, we handle it under our Privacy Policy, including your rights of access, correction, deletion, objection, and withdrawal of consent. We rely on your consent for non-essential cookies in jurisdictions that require it, and on our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning Website for essential cookies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, the cookies we use, or legal requirements. We will post the updated version with a new “Last Updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice or request renewed consent where required.
